What you’ll be testing

Most road-charge fines are just missed deadlines

Zones and crossings are enforced by cameras, so there’s no ticket and no reminder. The first you hear of a missed payment is usually a penalty letter. EveryDrive is built to stop that.

Automatic detection

Your phone notices when you drive into a charging zone or through a toll crossing, even with the app closed.

Instant alerts

A notification tells you which zone or crossing you used and whether your vehicle is charged.

Deadline reminders

App and email reminders before the payment window closes, with a link to the official payment page.

How the beta works

  1. 1

On your iPhone, tap Install above. On a computer, pop your email in and we’ll send you the link.

  2. 2

    Install with TestFlight

TestFlight is Apple’s free app for trying new apps before they reach the App Store. It takes a minute.

  3. 3

    Drive as normal

Use EveryDrive on your everyday journeys and tell us what works, what doesn’t and what you’d change.

That’s all we ask. Your feedback decides what gets fixed and built before EveryDrive launches.

Questions about the beta

What is TestFlight?

TestFlight is Apple’s own app for testing iPhone apps before they’re released on the App Store. It’s free, and once EveryDrive is installed through it, it works like any other app on your phone.

Is the beta really free?

Yes. Testing EveryDrive costs nothing during the beta and you don’t need to enter any card details. After launch EveryDrive will be a paid subscription: we’ll tell you the price beforehand, and you’ll only pay if you choose to subscribe. Any road charge you owe is always paid directly to TfL, the council or the crossing operator, never to EveryDrive.

I have an Android phone. Can I join?

Not yet. The beta is iPhone-only for now. Choose Android on the form and we’ll email you as soon as the Android version is ready to test.

What do I have to do as a tester?

Just use the app on your normal drives. If an alert is missed, something looks wrong or a screen is confusing, take a screenshot and TestFlight will offer to send it to us as feedback. You can also reply to any of our emails.

What happens to my location?

With automatic detection turned on, EveryDrive uses your location in the background to spot when you enter a charging zone or crossing and records the entry so you can see it on a map. You can turn it off at any time in the app or your phone’s settings.

Does EveryDrive pay the charge for me?

No. EveryDrive alerts and reminds you, and links you to the official payment page. You pay the scheme operator directly, with no extra fee.

Ready to put it to the test?

Free iPhone beta. You always pay charges directly to the official operator.
